Good Deeds - gardening with purpose

Ireland is on track to have 1 million more older people in all our communities by 2057. The reality is that we struggle to adequately support older people in their own homes today, so we need to take action now. The Good Deeds Project offers free garden maintenance and recovery to older people who cannot do the work themselves. Our goal is to make their gardens accessible and safe for them to enjoy. In the process we’ll build community connections and bring joy and smiles to faces along the way.

“ One good deed inspires another”

1 paid job = 1 free job

By booking your garden services with Good Deeds Gardening your fees go directly to funding free garden maintenance for older people in Ireland. Every paid garden job allows us to deliver one free garden job.

You get your gardening work completed at very competitive rates, and your helping us reach another older person in the community.

The Good Deeds Story

I’m Christian Kinnear, the founder of The Good Deeds Project. I’m passionate about community and helping those that are unable to help themselves. I truly believe that every good deed can make a real difference in people's lives.

The Good Deeds Team is made up of volunteers from all walks of life who want to give back to help others in the community - all of them offer their time and skills for free.

Providing help through The Good Deeds Project has been the most rewarding work of my life. The reward for our team is the pleasure we get from restoring dignity, independence and a better quality of life to the people we help.

If you’d like to be part of a mission that matters, and you think you can spare a couple of hours once in a while, click the button below to join the team - I guarantee it’ll be one of the best decisions you ever make! No specific skills required, individuals and groups welcome.
